1 Million Turtles Community Conservation Program
The Power of 'US'
The 1 Million Turtles program team has collaborated with Local Councils in various states working on freshwater turtle conservation initiatives. Examples include developing self-guided turtle tours around local water bodies, designing and launching turtle islands, and creating basking spots for turtles (e.g., using fallen tree logs).
With the addition of the National Nest Predation Survey and Nest Protection training, we now have more opportunities than ever to establish long-term and meaningful relationships with agencies involved in land and natural resource management, particularly for anyone engaged in fox management.
